Stewed Green Garlic 3 heads green garlic 1 cup chicken broth 2 or 3 sprigs fresh thyme or ¼ teaspoon dried 2 tablespoon butter or olive oil Remove the outer skin and break the heads into individual cloves, do not peel them. Put the cloves, chicken broth, butter and thyme in a saucepan and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. Uncover and simmer for another 30 minutes or until the liquid is reduced to a saucy consistency.
